InfoArmor is changing their public IP address. The DNS for sftp.infoarmor.com currently points to 64.71.160.70. After the change, sftp.infoarmor.com will point to the new IP address of 104.255.33.110.
- Do I need to do anything?
Yes, please confirm you are able to access the new IP address SFTP from the same host you use to connect now.
- How can I test it?
Please test an SFTP connection from the same host you utilize now to sftpnew.infoarmor.com. We have opened up sftpnew.infoarmor.com for your convenience. If you need assistance testing, please let us know.
- What if I can't connect?
InfoArmor has taken careful steps to ensure existing client Public IP's will remain allowed. If you are unable to connect, it is likely due to a Firewall, Routing, or NAT rule. Please contact your IT team so they can confirm your access to the new IP.
- Who needs to be involved in making sure I can connect?
Whoever in your organization that administers the SFTP job processing, as well as a Network and Firewall representative from your IT team.
- What can your IT team do?
Your Network Team will need to confirm traffic from your host is able to route to 104.255.33.110. Your Network Team will need to confirm traffic destined to go to 104.255.33.110 is NAT'd out the same public IP we have allowed. Check if you have a current NAT rule for destination address 64.71.160.70. If so, duplicate this rule for the new destination address of 104.255.33.110. Your firewall team will need to confirm firewall policies allow the host to connect to the new destination address of 104.255.33.110. Check if you have a current Firewall policy allowing traffic destined to 64.71.160.70 over port 22. If so, duplicate this rule for the new destination address of 104.255.33.110.
